Clay bars are used to decontaminate and remove particulates from paint, glass and metal. Clay bars are a pliable synthetic material that helps remove embedded materials such as tree sap, environmental fallout and paint over spray from paint, glass and metal. The clay bars sticky surface will pull the contaminants from the surface which cannot be removed during the normal wash process.
Remember clay bars are an abrasive material - using too much pressure with fine grade clay will abrade the surface and can causing micro marring. The micro marring will need to be removed with polishing. Medium grade clay should always be followed with a polishing step.
